IMPORTER SECURITY FILING (ISF) / 10+2
- On January 26, 2009, Importer Security Filing (ISF) went into effect by Customs. This new Customs rule is for the Ocean cargo only arriving to the United States for import. Importers are responsible for submitting data to Customs electronically no later than 24 hours before the cargo is laden aboard a vessel destined to the United States. Through our Automated Broker Interface, we are able to file ISF filing on behalf of the importer as their agent.
- On July 9, 2013, CBP has begun full enforcement of ISF, and has started issuing liquidated damages –Penalty- against ISF importers and carriers for ISF non-compliance.
- Failure to file ISF could result in monetary penalties as well as cargo delay.
- Please contact our offices to get rate quotes on your ISF filings.
